Grant for kissing gates (08-02-12)The Leicestershire and Rutland Foundation has offered the Parish Council a grant of £1,000 towards the cost of replacing existing stiles with kissing gates on footpath S51. The County Council has agreed to match fund this project, estimated to cost £2,500 altogether. The footpath runs in an easterly direction from Bosworth Road to the fields in the valley alongside the Stony Brook. From here the path continues over the brook and up the hill towards Osbaston, while another path (S48) runs north-south along the valley between Lount Road Osbaston, and Barton Road Market Bosworth. The necessary works should be carried out before the end of March.
